So how long will it take?
Lessons generally last 1.5 hours unless you prefer 1 or 2 hours.

The number of hours to reach the test standard depends on a number of different factors. Those are:

  • Previous driving or riding experience
  • Additional driving practice in between lessons with a friend or relative
  • Frequency of lessons
  • Motivation and willingness to learn

The national average to arrive at test standard is anything between 35 and 40 hours but can be reduced dependent on the above factors. In our experience, the most important factor is how much you are motivated to learn. Like any new skill the more you put in the more you get out!
